Emilia Alvarez Nordström is currently doing an internship at Interactive Institute Swedish ICT, assisting with the NODEM2013 conference “Beyond Control – The Collaborative Museum and its challenges”. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Art History from Stockholm University and has experience in the field of exhibition production.

She has recently worked as Project Manager and Gallery Coordinator at creative charity organization The StART Foundation, a trust dedicated to the fostering of cognitive skills and promotion of creativity through art in disadvantaged children and youths in Lusaka, Zambia. The StART Foundation produces art exhibitions, art competitions and art workshops for children and upcoming artists as part of their work. She also worked in developing an inventory database and framework for art exhibitions and art talks at the Lusaka National Museum, and with the digitalization of documentation center at the National Visual Arts Council of Zambia.

In the past she has assisted with production of industrial design exhibitions “Swedish Seeds” and “Design4Elements” produced by freelance Curator Margarita Matiz for the Swedish Institute and shown in Poland, Russia and Colombia. She has also worked in collaboration with artists Dawid and Linda Bergman in the production of a text for their exhibition Bon/Cage Rage.
